East Africa, is the eastern edge of the African continent distinguished by its geographical, historical, and cultural landscape. It is comprised of 20 countries, majority of them being English and Swahili speaking nations and has an estimated population size of 496 million. Coffee, Flowers, Tea, Tobacco, Fish, and Vegetables are the region’s predominant exports.Â

East Africa is renowned for its stunning white sandy beaches and warm turquoise waters, alongside majestic mountains and vast plains, showcasing a wide range of terrains and climates.
It is home to the “Big Five” and the remarkable wildebeest migration. The region boasts Africa’s tallest peaks, Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya, as well as the second largest and deepest freshwater lakes, Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika.
East Africa typically experiences an equatorial climate, characterized by high temperatures year-round and minimal seasonal variation, particularly near the equator. However, altitude creates significant temperature variations, ranging from highs of 30°C to lows of 17°C, contributing to the region’s diverse ecosystems and landscapes.
