Rwanda is known as the “land of a thousand hills,” Home to tropical rainforests, mountain ranges, and volcanoes, It is also one of the most ecologically diverse places in Africa.

Rwanda has a population of approximately 14.4 million and is organized into four provinces, with Kigali serving as its vibrant capital city.

The country is renowned for being home to about one third of the world’s mountain gorilla population, as well as five of the eight volcanoes in the stunning Virunga Mountains, a range that stretches across East Africa. Additionally, Rwanda offers habitats for chimpanzees and various monkey species found in Nyungwe and Gishwati Mukura National Parks. The country’s other national park, Akagera National Park, is rich in wildlife, hosting rhinos, hippos, elephants, giraffes, and Rwanda’s national bird, the striking gold-crested crane.

Kigali International Airport accommodates both international and domestic airlines, making travel to and from the country convenient and accessible for visitors.
