Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Nairobi (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport).   Transfer to your accommodation at Giraffe Manor. An exclusive boutique hotel built in 1932, situated in the leafy suburbs of Langata in Nairobi County. A Giraffe conservation on 12 acres of Private land boasts of the main House Historic Manor which has 6 rooms and Garden Manor which also has 6 rooms. A once in a lifetime experience.

You check in, relax and freshen up. Have lunch as you get to mingle with the Kenyan Rothschild giraffes, who are regular visitors within your accommodation. Later on, a visit to the Karen Blixen House (location of the well-known film: Out of Africa). Sundowner at the hotel while feeding the giraffes and Dinner.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel, pick up at 9 a.m. for onward journey to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Visit to the Elephant Orphanage Nairobi, a public but limited tour at 11 a.m. You will see how the rescued baby elephants are fed and also have an option to adopt an elephant. Lunch and a small tour at Kitengela Glass ware with a bit of shopping. Transfer back to the hotel for sundowner, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel, pick up at 9 a.m. for onward    journey to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Visit to the Elephant Orphanage Nairobi, a public but limited tour at 11 a.m. You will see how the rescued baby elephants are fed and also have an option to adopt an elephant. Lunch and a small tour at Kitengela Glass ware with a bit of shopping. Transfer back to the hotel for sundowner, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, pick up will be at around 11am departure to Wilson airport for your air transfer to Kifaru House situated in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and boasts of 5 luxurious thatched cottages. Well-appointed bedrooms, sumptuous four poster beds with generous en-suite bathrooms. Lewa serves as a safe refuge for the critically endangered black rhino and the endangered Grevy’s zebra, as well as the elephant, lion, giraffe, wild dog and other iconic wildlife species in Kenya. The Conservancy is also home to more than 450 species of birds. Here you check in, freshen up, enjoy a nice lunch. You will go for an evening game drive in the conservancy. After a few hours game driving, you will head back to the lodge for sundowners, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

You will have the unique experience of visiting Ol Pejeta conservancy and get to see the only two Northern White rhinos in the world. Afterward you will have a game drive within the conservancy and get to spot Lions, Grevy Zebras, Elephants and other wildlife. You will have the option to have lunch within the conservancy or head back to your accommodation to freshen up, sundowner and dinner.

Day 4

You will have the unique experience of visiting Ol Pejeta conservancy and get to see the only two Northern White rhinos in the world. Afterward you will have a game drive within the conservancy and get to spot Lions, Grevy Zebras, Elephants and other wildlife. You will have the option to have lunch within the conservancy or head back to your accommodation to freshen up, sundowner and dinner.

Day 5

Relaxed breakfast and later on your pickup to Nanyuki airstrip. Your flight is about 30-40min to our next destination, Loisaba tented Camp situated in the Loisaba Conservancy within Laikipia County. Has 12 spacious en-suite tents with 3 family combination double tents. Check in, freshen up. Lunch and relax. Evening game drive, sundowner and Dinner.

Day 6

Early morning game drive and bush breakfast in the 56,000-     acres conservancy which is a unique wildlife haven for an abundance of rare species of animals such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. It is also home to a population of close to 900 Elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. You will head back to your tented camp at around noon for lunch, freshen up (Probably a power nap) before you head out later in the day for another evening game drive, sundowner, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Day 7

Early morning game drive (optional) or an easy start of the day, have breakfast in your Tented camp and soak up the beautiful scenic view from your camp. You will then head out to the airstrip at around 11am to take your chartered flight to the Maasai Mara. Pick up from the Mara airstrip to your luxurious en-suite tents at the JW Marriot Maasai Mara Lodge. You will check in, relax within your beautiful accommodation which is right on the Talek river hopefully spot a few wildlife that come to have a drink at the river, Lunch and later go for an evening game drive to spot some of Kenya’s big five. You then head back to the lodge for sundowner and dinner.

Day 8

Early morning game drive with the option of a bush breakfast in the Mara which is famous for the Great Migration and millions of wild animals pass through this protected area every year from July to October. Mara is also home to the famous big five. You head back to the Lodge at around noon for lunch, freshen up and relax before your evening game drive (optional)  You then enjoy a nice sundowner and Dinner.

Day 8

Early morning game drive with the option of a bush breakfast in the Mara which is famous for the Great Migration and millions of wild animals pass through this protected area every year from July to October. You head back to the Lodge at around noon for lunch, freshen up and relax before your evening game drive (optional)  You then enjoy a nice sundowner and Dinner.

 

Day 9

Breakfast in your lodge, pick up to the Mara airstrip and fly to Nairobi where you will then take the Kenya Airways flight to Kigali Rwanda which is about 1hr 30min, for your Gorilla adventure. Once you arrive in Kigali Rwanda, you will be picked up in your Helicopter transfer that takes approximately 30min or a 4×4 safari van and the trip will be approximately 3 hrs to your accommodation in the Volcanoes Hills, which is one of the most ecologically diverse places in Africa. You will check in to your accommodation, have lunch and relax for the rest of the day. Dinner and have an early night.

Day 10

Early morning breakfast, pick up from the hotel and have an easy drive to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters. You will be at the Headquarters by 7.00am where you will get a quick briefing from your guide about the Gorilla’s, health and safety measures before being allocated a group/family. The trek can last between a few hours to a full day depending on the movement of the Gorilla families. Once you encounter these majestic creatures, you will spend an hour watching them in their Habitat as you take photos. You will then make your way back to the headquarters where your transfer will take you back to the Lodge. Once at the lodge, you will chill and enjoy the scenic view from the lodge, Lunch, maybe have a nice massage at the lodges Spa to help get rid of the fatigue from the trek. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 10

Early morning breakfast, pick up from the hotel and have an easy drive to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters. You will be at the Headquarters by 7.00am where you will get a quick briefing from your guide about the Gorilla’s, health and safety measures before being allocated a group/family. The trek can last between a few hours to a full day depending on the movement of the Gorilla families. Once you encounter these majestic creatures, you will spend an hour watching them in their Habitat as you take photos. You will then make your way back to the headquarters where your transfer will take you back to the Lodge. Once at the lodge, you will chill and enjoy the scenic view from the lodge, Lunch, maybe have a nice massage at the lodges Spa to help get rid of the fatigue from the trek. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 11

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Kigali International Airport for your flight back to Nairobi Kenya. Once you land in Nairobi, you will then connect another flight to Southcoast Diani which is ranked No.1 best beach in Africa for 6 consecutive years. Your transfer will pick you from Diani airport and check in at your Luxury Villa at Alfajiri Villas. You will then have the rest of the afternoon to relax, enjoy the view of the Ocean while having Lunch. Cool off the heat in the ocean or the Villa’s pool while enjoying sunbathing. Later on, in the evening you can enjoy sundowners at the Villa or at special Locations. Dinner at the Villa.

 

Day 12

Enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the villa, have breakfast and head to Whale shark adventure office, where you will have a quick briefing before you head out to the sea for Whale sharks and dolphins spotting, hopefully swim with these beautiful creatures too. The Whale shark season runs from October through to March with the peak stages being January and February. Once you are done with this lifetime experience, you then head back to the Villa, enjoy your lunch and have an easy afternoon by your pool or ocean. a little Shopping in Diani to support the local community. Sundowner and Dinner at the Villa.

Day 12

Enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the villa, have breakfast and head to Whale shark adventure office, where you will have a quick briefing before you head out to the sea for Whale sharks and dolphins spotting, hopefully swim with these beautiful creatures too. Day 13

Relaxation by the pool, breakfast at the Villa, check out, flight from Diani Beach (Diani Airport) to Nairobi (Jomo Kenyatta International), drop off at the international departure terminal for your onward flight back home or an overnight stay at the 5-star Hotel Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport and depart from the hotel the next day for your flight back.
